Designed by famed naval architect Ted Geary this boat was built by the Lake Union Dry Dock and Machine Works of Seattle, WA, in 1930. The Lake Union Co. built many of the most respected Classic Yachts produced on the West Coast before the 2nd World War. This beautiful 45 footer is an outstanding example of the breed. She was originally built and launched at their famous yard on the shores of Seattles Lake Union. The Lake Unions were built by the outstanding Pacific Northwest craftsmen of the period to withstand the rigors of the northern waters and out of woods so fine that they are simply no longer available; in general, these boats tend to be more robust, and of heavier scantlings than most classics. It is not known how many 45 foot bridge deck cruisers were built by the Lake Union Dry Dock Company, but only five are known to exist today, including two built in 1928 and two others built in 1929. This vessel is the only 1930 model known to be still in existence. We consider her to be an exceptional buy in an Antique Cruiser and a highly desirable yacht, as well as being a Pacific Northwest and West Coast Treasure.

Surreal Chicago Boat with Miami’s Louis Dee!
The Playpen, which offers boaters a sweeping view of the Chicago skyline, has long been a favorite spot for recreational boaters to enjoy Lake Michigan boating. In August, however, this area of the lake becomes a sea of boats rafted together in what the Chicago Sun-Times calls “a floating Mardi Gras,” and what the New York Times says is “a ticket to ‘Girls Gone Wild’ come to life.”

http://www.survivalistboards.com/showthread.php?t=95359 A few weeks ago my dad got himself a new boat, so he gave me his old one. Its a WeldBilt aluminum boat, 15 feet long, 42 inches across and is driven by a 30 horsepower Evinrude outboard motor.
The river this video was filmed in, is called the Angelina River. It goes from Lake Sam Rayburn Dam to Steinhagen Reservoir (also called Dam B) in East Texas.
Years ago my buddies and I used to go camping in the marshes and bayous of Southeast Texas. I’am hoping to start going camping on the rivers and bayous again.
